Monthly Meeting - September 11th

Monthly meeting tomorrow night, Monday, September 11th at Skrine Chops.
It's that time again. The first Chicago Mountaineering Club monthly meeting of the fall is tomorrow night. Come hear and share your summer experiences and plan for the fall climbing season.

The board meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. All club members are welcome to attend.
The general meeting starts at 8:00 p.m. and is open to everyone.

Tomorrow's program will be the showing of a DVD produced by Swiss Tourism about the Alps & John Harlan's lifelong obsession to climb the Eiger's Nordwand that killed his famous father when he was 9 years old. (His mom made him promise never to try it.). John was a guide long ago & a friend of Jack Gorby. He came to Chicago for a showing of this film at the Omnimax Theater at the Museum of Science & Industry. The Swiss Counsel General held a dinner for John & gave Jack the DVD. John also wrote a book about this: "The Eiger Obsession". He's now the editor of the American Alpine Journal.

Skrine Chops is located at 7230 W Madison St. Forest Park, IL 60130. We hope to see you there.
