Please join us on May 9th, 7:30 pm (or via Zoom) at the Arc’Teryx outlet store in Bucktown for an exciting two-part program about the Chicago Voyagers and a film screening about the DLFA. Food and beverages will be served. All in-person attendees will be entered into a gear giveaway and will enjoy a special discount at the store.  Chicago Voyagers is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is empowering at-risk youth through outdoor experiential adventures that foster healthy relationships and responsible behavior. Learn more about their mission at https://www.chicagovoyagers.org/

 Speakers:
 Ryan McHale, Program Leader, Chicago Voyagers Growing up in the Chain O’Lakes area, Ryan was exposed early on to the growth that the outdoors can provide. Inspired by his work as an English teacher and Eco-Tourism strategist with the Peace Corps in rural Romania, Ryan has a strong desire to expand opportunities and perspectives in overlooked communities. He’s excited to return to Chicago Voyagers (Program Leader 2014-15) and can often be found biking and watching birds in Humboldt Park on his off days. 
 Ryan D’Angelo, Program Leader, Chicago Voyagers Ryan’s passion for experiential education began while he was a challenge course facilitator, outdoor experience guide, and rock wall manager at Loyola University Chicago where he studied Special Education. After completing a 90-day Wilderness and Medicine Rescue course, Ryan spent 3 years as a wilderness instructor for at-risk youth in Florida with Outward Bound Ryan is excited to return to the Chicagoland area, where he grew up, and sees supporting youth in need as a privilege.
 Darin Limvere, Director, the DLFA Film Darin is a cinematographer who has lived a nomadic lifestyle for over a decade He's worked on network commercials, feature films, documentaries, music videos, and action sports based projects In the 00’s he shot and co-created multiple skateboard related films for Red Bull which have aired on Fox’s Fuel TV in the US and throughout Europe Although he primarily works as a D.P. he also produces and directs independent documentaries His current feature project details the lives of aging Chicago punk rockers and has been in production for over 10 years From 2010 to the present Darin has shifted his focus toward projects that have the potential to influence positive change such as Climate Change and mental health-based work He served as “Director of Film Production” for the mental health education company MedCircle from 2018 to 2020.
