Join Chicago Mountaineering Club members as they discuss ice climbing, which refers to roped and protected climbing of features such as icefalls, frozen waterfalls, and cliffs and rock slabs covered with ice refrozen from flows of water.
The presentation will explain equipment needed to ice climb, locations where the Club has ice climbed in past winters, and trips that are planned for this winter. The locations are in the Midwest, Colorado, and Ontario. If you are interested in ice climbing this is a must-see presentation.
An Arc'teryx raffle prize will awarded at the end of the night.
